The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a Guest Lecture on the topic ‘Energy Devices’, on 25th February, 2023. The event was held at Smt. Rajalakshmi Seminar Hall. The Expert Speaker was Dr. Rathna G N, Principal Research Scientist, IISc., Bangalore.

Guest lecture on Space for all and its Opportunities

The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a Guest Lecture on the topic ‘Space for all and its Opportunities, for the 3rd, 5th and 7th semester students of the department, on 23rd December, 2022.The event was held at Smt. RajaLakshmi Seminar Hall. The expert speaker was Ms. A. Vijaya Bhanu, Deputy Director, Digital Platform, In-SPACe, ISRO.

Guest Lecture on Human vs Machine Intelligence

The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a Guest Lecture on the topic ‘Human vs Machine Intelligence’, for the 3rd, 5th and 7th semester students of the department, on 10th December 2022, under the supervision of the Head of the Department - ECE, Dr. I. Hameem Shanavas. The event was held at Rajalakshmi Seminar Hall. The expert speaker was Mr. Ajit Clarence, Senior Member of Technical Staff, AMD, and also an Alumnus of the1996 Batch.

Guest Lecture on Photonics Implementation

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a Guest Lecture on the topic ‘Photonics Implementation’. The lecture is delivered by Dr. Srinivas Talabattula, Associate Professor, Electrical Engineering, IISc, Bangalore. This lecture was organized on 1st October 2019, at Rajalakshmi Jayaraman Seminar Hall. The lecture was attended by nearly 120 students.

Guest Lecture on Radar and Signal Processing

The Department of Electronicsand Communication Engineering organized a Guest Lecture on the topic Radar and Signal Processing 31st August 2019, at Smt.ajalakshmiuditorium from 9:30 am to 12:40 pm. The speakers were Dr. G N Rathna (Principal Research Scientist, IISc., Bengaluru) and Sri Vishnu O C (Scientist-E, LRDE, Bengaluru). Dr. G N Rathna delivered an insightful talk on applications of digital signal processing, and some of its practical uses in the real world. Sri Vishnu O C explained about the prototyping of silent radars based on broadcast emission, ship-borne surveillance radars, and phased array radars.All the faculty members of the ECE Department, and second, third and final year students of the Department attended the Guest Lecture.
