  • The third year focuses on expanding students’ understanding of Signal Processing, RF and Microwave Engineering, Wireless cellular Communication, Software Defined Radio, Communication Networks, Antenna and Wave Propagation. The semester also includes courses on Research Methodology and Intellectual Property Rights, along with environmental studies. Both semesters are structured with 40 credits to provide a broad and balanced instructional experience.
  • In the final year, students delve into 5G and beyond, Optical communication, Wireless Sensor networks, and Artificial Intelligence. They also have the opportunity to choose from a range of professional and open elective courses, allowing them to tailor their learning experience to their interests and career goals. Students engage in a Project that enables them to apply their knowledge and expertise to an in-depth initiative in advanced communication technology. They also participate in a research or industrial internship and present a seminar, culminating their undergraduate studies with practical experience and academic rendezvous.
  • The curriculum includes a variety of elective subjects that allow students to explore niche areas and advanced topics.
  • The curriculum includes open electives from other engineering and science disciplines like Python Programming, Cyber Security, Introduction to Data Science, Ethical Hacking, Nano Science & Nano Technology, Smart Sensors and Systems for Industrial Applications and Automotive Engineering. These electives allow students to explore diverse fields, enhance their knowledge base, and integrate concepts from different areas of study, ultimately contributing to their overall development as well-rounded professionals.
  • Students who pursue a major in Advanced Communication Technology have the opportunity to earn an Honours degree or a Minor degree in specialised areas by accumulating an additional 18 credits. This provision aligns with NEP’s vision of offering flexible and specialised education paths.
  • The curriculum places significant emphasis on practical training and real-world experience. Students engage in extensive lab work, internships, and project-based learning, addressing societal and industrial problems. Students are encouraged to pursue certification courses from platforms like NPTEL, Swayam, MOOC and Infosys Campus Connect to supplement their formal education. These certifications help students stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the field of Advanced Communication Technology.
  • The aim of the Electronics and Communication (Advanced Communication Technology) curriculum is to produce well-rounded professionals equipped with technical expertise, ethical values, and a scientific temper. By integrating theoretical knowledge with practical skills and emphasising ethical and societal responsibilities, the Electronics and Communication (Advanced Communication Technology) curriculum at MVJCE prepares students to become competent and responsible engineers ready to tackle the challenges of the modern world.
