M Tech - Electronics and Communication Engineering (Advanced Communication Technology)

How do you help decide what is best for your child? We are here to guide you!

Curriculum
  • The Advanced Communication Technology curriculum is geared towards providing the student  with a strong foundation in the discipline, an exposure to and understanding of the wide-ranging  applications of this technology, the skills of analysis and design for engineering new systems,  and the competencies that will enable them to think out of the box and innovate, to address new  and challenging problems.
  • The curriculum for a Postgraduate (PG) program in Advanced Communication Technology  typically covers a range of advanced topics in communication systems, networking, signal  processing, and related areas.
  • The First year curriculum provides a robust foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects  of the field. The 1st and 2nd semesters are structured with a total of 40 credits. The curriculum  includes essential courses such as Advanced Digital Signal Processing, Advanced  Communication Systems and Advanced Engineering Electromagnetic which are fundamental to  understanding and designing the Communication technologies. Additionally, students gain  hands-on experience through the courses Antenna Theory & Design and Microwave Devices.
  • The Second Year focuses on expanding students’ understanding of Microwave devices and its  applications. In the third semester, students explore into the core courses like Advanced Digital  Image Processing, IOT, RF MEMS and Digital Compression. They also have the opportunity to  choose from a range of professional and open elective courses to mold their learning experience  to their interests and career goals. Students undertake Project, where they apply their knowledge  and skills to a comprehensive project in advance communication technology. They also  participate in a research or industrial internship and present a seminar, culminating their  postgraduate studies with practical experience and academic rendezvous. Both semesters are  structured with 40 credits to provide a broad and balanced instructive experience
  • The curriculum includes a variety of elective subjects that allow students to explore niche areas  and advanced topics such as: 5G Radio Access Technologies, Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning. Signal Processing for Micro Electronics Devices, Multimedia Over Communication,  and Array Signal Processing.
  • The curriculum places significant emphasis on practical training and real-world experience.  Students engage in extensive lab work, internships, and project-based learning, addressing  societal and industrial problems. Students are encouraged to pursue certification courses from  platforms like NPTEL, Swayam and MOOC to supplement their formal education. These  certifications help students stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the field of  Advanced Communication Technology.
  • The aim of the Advanced Communication Technology curriculum at MVJCE prepares students  with a strong theoretical foundation along with practical skills in designing, analyzing, and  implementing advanced communication systems and technologies, preparing them for careers in  industries such as telecommunications, networking and also to be responsible engineers ready to  tackle the challenges of the modern world.
